When I'm not out shooting beautiful Hampshire wedding photography, or in the studio having a fun family photoshoot, I'm usually found building Lego or playing Superheroes with my hilarious son Alex, bike-riding with my beautiful daughter Maria, or just chilling out and enjoying some down-time with my amazing wife Christine. Family is everything to me, which is part of the reason I enjoy photographing everyone else's family too!
Creating amazing wedding photography or fun family portraits that make people smile and evoke a reaction is something that I strive to achieve with every one of my photoshoots.
This is why I set up Lightbox Studios in 2007. The 'high-street' studio had become something that either produced 'mortgage-squeezingly expensive' portraits, or just the same boring, old-fashioned "Say Cheese!" family photos from the early 80's, with a serious lack of individuality or spark.
With every shoot, be it wedding photography, a fun family photoshoot, and even for my commercial photography clients, I strive to produce beautiful photography, and images that really capture the very essence of the subject, to create a genuine reaction from the viewer. I love it when families laugh their way through a fun family photoshoot and then again during their private viewing session, and when newly married couples have a little tear in their eye as they relive the raw emotion of their special day whilst watching their Wedding Photography slideshow here at Lightbox Studios.
Even my commercial photography can create real 'Wow' moments for clients, with images that capture the very essence of a product or brand. The same can definitely be said of my Music Photography, from the many amazing gigs that I've photographed for O2 Guildhall Southampton and many other venues across the South over the past decade. One amazing music photograph can capture the imagination, putting you right in the centre of the concert to relive the excitement!
That's what it's all about. It's what makes photography so powerful, and why I love my job.
